What does GEOqik do?

GEOqik specialises in taking large documents and publishing them online. Reduce your printing costs, increase readership, increase accessibility, engage your audience and much more. We can streamline everything from document creation, to review, to publication and even collecting and analysing feedback.

What is an online publication (qikPRESS)?

It is essentially the advantage of digital over hard copy. Imagine an online book with fully searchable text, hyperlinks to glossaries, engaging multi-media (pictures / video / audio) and the ability to tag sections with your own comments.

What publications can go online?

Just about anything. For example, submissions to Government; scientific and technical volumes; stakeholder or shareholder reports; corporate standards and policy; community engagement information; education material; and any documents which needs to be dispersed far and wide. If you can imagine it, we can do it.

Why can't I just put PDF files up on my site for people to download?

Online publishing offers a much better experience for your reader. Unlike long lists of PDF's, there are no big files to download, no memory or speed problems on the local PC. There is no chance of old versions floating around - everyone gets the same version.

We manage with our current review process, why go online?

GEOqik can streamline your process immensely without actually changing what you are doing. Online 'collaborative' reviews remove any chance of duplication, enforce review time-frames and shorten the review process, keeping your project on time and on budget.

We use Microsoft Word® and haven't really got any web skills. What can we do?

GEOqik does the work for you. Submit your Microsoft Word® documents and we will clean, standardise and convert them for you. GEOqik will look after the artwork, online mapping (if you have some) and building your publication. GEOqik can even provide advice on how to create the best looking document for physical publication.
